Mushroom Foraging Tours
Join me for a gentle meander through nature trails, where you'll learn how to identify the Maritimes’ gourmet edible mushroom species, safely distinguish them from toxic ones, and discover the hidden, interwoven world beneath our feet, all while exploring the vital role that fungi perform in nature.
We conclude the experience with a delightful Foragers' Feast, where the edible mushroom species we've collected are sautéed into mouthwatering tasters. A highlight of the event is not only tasting a variety of mushrooms but also sharing everyone's unique descriptions of the flavors and textures, and discussing which mushroom was their favorite. To ensure it’s suitable for all, I use olive oil to cook the mushrooms.
